both are neat. but poster B seems cooler. hard to say why though.
Matty G. Posted 5 months ago
The lo-fi retro look is a pretty cool style for sure!
MAK138 K. Posted 5 months ago
Using ET as a reference point makes perfect sense for this project. And, it's hilarious.
Matty G. Posted 5 months ago
It still cracks me up when I look a it!
Bailee R. Posted 5 months ago
Liked them both but the first one caught my attention:)
Matty G. Posted 5 months ago
It still cracks me up looking at it!
Diane N. Posted 5 months ago
Poster A is truly blasphemous (I actually hadn't noticed that until someone pointed it out), but there is at least one other trailer that has made use of a finger to get out their message.
Matty G. Posted 5 months ago
Technically, it would have to be the other direction to be blasphemous, but I'd be willing to put up the genius of the great Nikki Wallin against Michelangelo any day!
(The Ninja Turtle)
Timario M. Posted 6 months ago
Love both of them ... But poster 1 is blasphemous. Still though, creative :)
Matty G. Posted 6 months ago
Haha! Always room for a little blasphemy!
jane D. Posted 6 months ago
love poster1
Matty G. Posted 6 months ago
Thanks Jane!
Stacey A. Posted 6 months ago
Poster A made me laugh, that's my pick :)
Matty G. Posted 6 months ago
Mission Accomplished!
R2 D. Posted 7 months ago
all good me likey! But the O.G. is #!
Matty G. Posted 6 months ago
I love the OG too! Thanks!
Joslyn P. Posted 7 months ago
When I saw "Malk" I immediately thought... Julian Smith.
Matty G. Posted 6 months ago
Hahaha! Nice!
Cat F. Posted 7 months ago
"Intergalactic Bromance" heehee -- can you add that to the original poster?!
Matty G. Posted 6 months ago
I don't think that will be a problem at all!
Tracy R. Posted 7 months ago
Ah there it is... the original concept poster. Still my favorite.
Matty G. Posted 6 months ago
Mine too ; )
Tracy R. Posted 7 months ago
I actually like the image that's used for the teaser trailer much better than either of these posters. The image of the colourful alien tied up in the chair with the look on his face.. that's the image that made me want to watch the trailer. I'd say go with that.
Matty G. Posted 6 months ago
I get a kick out of that one too. Loved trying some new things tho!
Paul S. Posted 7 months ago
A is a ripoff of ET
Matty G. Posted 6 months ago
Parody of ET indeed!
Trish M. Posted 7 months ago
A is very ET with a humorous twist (not altogether original perhaps) but B is a bit to childlike & flat. So A it is!
Matty G. Posted 6 months ago
A indeed!
Shafer C. Posted 7 months ago
Ha! ET parody is rad.
Matty G. Posted 6 months ago
Hahaha. Glad ou dig on it!
Heather B. Posted 7 months ago
A! Fun parody of iconic poster - grabs the attention.
Matty G. Posted 6 months ago
Thanks!
olive f. Posted 7 months ago
love original; A is great, probably wouldn't get away with using it though (too bad)
Matty G. Posted 6 months ago
We actually created all the elements for the poster. Therefore when used as parody, it shouldn't be a problem at all!
phil d. Posted 7 months ago
Yah, I liked the original best, but the A poster is super funny.
Matty G. Posted 6 months ago
HA! Thanks Phil!
Marianne M. Posted 7 months ago
Creative for both.
Matty G. Posted 6 months ago
Thank you!
Ann-Marie S. Posted 7 months ago
I like both the orginal poster and the first of the posters that you have submitted. They are both way better than the second choice of yoyr cibtest posters.
Matty G. Posted 6 months ago
I loved the original too. thought some new designs would be fun to try!
Andie Q. Posted 7 months ago
Not sure A would be allowed because of copyright but funny
Matty G. Posted 6 months ago
Thanks!
Tyrath B. Posted 7 months ago
AA - intergalactic bromance - 'brilliant'! (still LOVE the original concept poster as well)
Matty G. Posted 6 months ago
Thanks!!
Billie T. Posted 7 months ago
Umm... of course Poster A. Genius! (
Matty G. Posted 6 months ago
Thank you Billie!
Nina F. Posted 7 months ago
Poster A is is too much a remake of ET. Not original enough. So I choose B. The one you originally had is better.
Tempo S. Posted 7 months ago
I completely agree!!
Matty G. Posted 6 months ago
I love the OG poster too. Always room for some parody of a beloved childhood classic!
Patrick C. Posted 7 months ago
The original concept is ten times better than these two posters. Poster A is derivative and Poster B doesn't give a feel for the story. The original concept poster not only gives a feel for the film, it is (or feels) totally original. I think the original poster is one of the best film posters around, hands down.
Matty G. Posted 6 months ago
Thanks so much Patrick!
Michelle G. Posted 7 months ago
intergalactic bromance! lol! That's awesome!
Bannister B. Posted 7 months ago
I'm voting for A - because it's awesome...but good luck getting away with it if you win :-)
Seth C. Posted 7 months ago
Love the ET spoof! Toats rad.
Ann-Marie S. Posted 7 months ago
Love poster A
monica l. Posted 7 months ago
You have a great team, baby. Awesome.
Patrick S. Posted 7 months ago
"An Intergalactic Bromance"?? How can you compete with that? It actually communicates volumes about the film itself. Awesome.
charlie e. Posted 7 months ago
Loved the first one--spoof posters all the way! (And, of course, any poster that can get away with using "bromance" is a poster I love.)
Lowell D. Posted 7 months ago
They are both ridiculous but the first one made me LOL so I chose it. Well played. - Team WolfCop
Natalia N. Posted 7 months ago
The left one is very funny. Creative work
Jac r. Posted 7 months ago
good
Helen M. Posted 7 months ago
A is funny...itshows the humour in a grown up style...B is a bit child like
Matty G. Posted 6 months ago
Thank you Helen!
Marcella C. Posted 7 months ago
I love poster A! It may not work in public, but I'd buy one for the homestead. Keep up the great work guys!
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks!!
Kirsten S. Posted 7 months ago
I looked them both! The ET one is my favorite!
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Haha. I love the ET one. It still tickles me.
Glenn R. Posted 7 months ago
good job
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Thank you!
Aaron S. Posted 7 months ago
Poster A, definitely!
Danny M. Posted 7 months ago
ET or Simpsons? I guess it's A for me. Even though I can see that being tough to use for promotions. But hey- #BEBRAVE!
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Haha. I didnt even know it was a Simpsons joke. I feel like Im trapped in that "Simpsons did it!" Episode of South Park! Haha. Awesome.
Tyler R. Posted 7 months ago
A for sure. I think the humor in this poster is very similar to the humor that is portrayed in the trailer. Great job.
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Thank you Tyler!
Afzal H. Posted 7 months ago
The use of middle finger in Poster A is a great way to show the humour of the film.
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks for the comment Afzal! Much appreciated!
Brad D. Posted 7 months ago
It's hard to choose because both infringe on intellectual property. I like the original poster (the set still) more than either of the new ones. Malk is a Simpsons joke, and a AA obviously makes a reference to a well known film, but even then, that film (while a classic) is almost 30 years old.
Enigma A. Posted 7 months ago
Parody falls under fair use and is not an infringement of intellectual property
Brad D. Posted 7 months ago
Fair enough. I guess the ET one then, but Malk is still straight out of a simpsons gag.
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Ha! Like I said above, I had no idea it was a Simpsons joke. I feel like Im trapped in the "Simpsons did it!" Episode of South Park! Ha. As far as parody is concerned, Enigma is right. I've worked in clearances for years and have dealt with Parody lots. We made sure in the creation of the poster to create all of our own elements. Thanks for the comments guys!
PS - Simpsons rule
Leslie H. Posted 7 months ago
Don't think poster A was a great idea, you won't be able to actually use it to promote the film. Pretty sure you can't hang that in a public location. The original poster is the best.
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
We love the OG too! But definitely wanted to try some new approaches! All part of developing the package!
Kelly G. Posted 7 months ago
I like your original poster a lot as well but I'm glad you guys took time to conceive of 2 more. You did great.
Doug G. Posted 7 months ago
I like the ET parody, even though I'm not sure the middle finger would fly, but screw it. Also, Malk left a bad taste in my mouth... not a fan of rat milk. :)
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Hahaa "...but screw it".
lisa m. Posted 7 months ago
Like the original. Like A too though, would get me to search out the story line!
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
It says what it needs to in a familiar way! Thanks!
Mandy G. Posted 7 months ago
I picture poster A in the theatres. It would make me take a second look because of the ET thing.
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Familiarity is a big component.
Linda A. Posted 7 months ago
Poster A made me laugh! it gets my vote.
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Awesome! Thank you Linda!
Katie T. Posted 7 months ago
Poster B is very cool.
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
We wanted to take a shot at the whole Lo-fi Mondo thing. If you want to see some cool stuff, look up some of the Mondo Star Trek and Star Wars posters. Super cool.
Katie T. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks, I will.
Diane N. Posted 7 months ago
Poster B for me. Is that the third finger up - in Poster A ? Thumbs down for that.
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Haha. A thumbs down for an up finger!
Alexa B. Posted 7 months ago
omg malk
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
We were also considering Melk, Molk, Mulk and sometimes Mylk.
Shelley T. Posted 7 months ago
They are both awesome but Poster B is my personal choice.
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Vector art is fin, simple and clean.
Darren R. Posted 7 months ago
Poster B. I could see product placement in your future! LOL #absolutionmovie
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Or an homage to our favourite band perhaps??
John K. Posted 7 months ago
The milk carton was more fun. Didn't like the et "homage"
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Check out the Mondo Star Wars or even the Evil Dead ones. Amazing.
Andrea H. Posted 7 months ago
I love the original but poster A is a pretty awesome runner up!
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Its hard to beat the original bit we tried!
Gianna I. Posted 7 months ago
You guys are too funny! Love the tribute to E.T! (Team Rosalind Revenge)
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks so much. You guys are great.
Gianna I. Posted 7 months ago
:) Thank you too!
Lindsey M. Posted 7 months ago
A all the way!! Awesome!
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks Lindsay!
Bernie H. Posted 7 months ago
parody will almost always win
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Our thoughts exactly! Thanks Bernie. On a seperate note - as a child I lobbied my parents to name my brother Bernie. I thought it would guarantee him to be an awesome goalie.
Bernie H. Posted 6 months ago
Bernie is a great name... but im bias ;p
Janine F. Posted 7 months ago
The original will always have first place in my heart. Or eyeball. Somewhere in there.
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Hard to beat the OG!
Kelly G. Posted 7 months ago
As much as I require vitamin R, laughter is the best medicine. Poster 1! Great job
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Hahaha. Thank you! I hope this gave you the recommended dosage!
Beverley R. Posted 7 months ago
Love the milk poster
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks! Simple and light
Aiden C. Posted 7 months ago
Like the milk one
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Mondo style!
Laurel L. Posted 7 months ago
I also like the original.
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
It still exists!
Chris C. Posted 7 months ago
Liking both posters. Think I'll vote for #2.
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks! I love the simplicity of the Mondo style. Check out the Star Trek Mondo stuff if you get a chance!
Kris J. Posted 7 months ago
I actually laughed when I saw the middle finger. Poster A definitely explains the movie concept better. The tag line says it all.. Poster B doesn't give the idea of a "bromance". Great work!
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Hahha. I totally cracked up when I saw it the first time.
Parker W. Posted 7 months ago
not a fan of either to be honest, i do however like the one below with the tied up blue guy.
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
I LOVE the original! We just wanted to explore some ideas instead of repeating previous work. I agree tho - the original said it all!
Dinah H. Posted 7 months ago
I loved the original concept poster so much more than options A & B! I felt the same way about another project , part of it may just be a familiarity effect .
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
We totally LOVE that poster too. We just wanted to try some new things! Dont worry non, that poster is still around!
Allan W. Posted 7 months ago
Brilliant spoof on ET - lol :) #i90Army
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks bub!! M
Anita N. Posted 7 months ago
the middle-finger doesn't seem appropriate enough to put up in public, and the second one looks better but still not really eye-catching
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
One of Peter Jackson's early films did it as well. Be brave!
Stephanie B. Posted 7 months ago
I have to admit I love the first one. "He's alone. He's scared. He's tied to a chair." I learned from The Shat that alien bondage is cool. ;)
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
It's just so ridiculous! Haha.
Julie P. Posted 7 months ago
good job
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks!
Tyler S. Posted 7 months ago
The first poster isn't something I'd want to see at the theatre. The second poster is more my style
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
I love Mondo style posters. You've got to see the star trek ones they did!
Benjamin O. Posted 7 months ago
Poster A takes the cake! "Happy Birthday...cake!"
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Love them cakes!
PadfootPanda S. Posted 7 months ago
Like them both but luvin the 1st one.
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
It kills me.
David M. Posted 7 months ago
Poster A is perfect! So awesome!
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks David!
Enigma A. Posted 7 months ago
Totally in keeping with the spirit and premise of the trailer
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks a bunch!
Ann-Marie S. Posted 7 months ago
Love them
Matty G. Posted 7 months ago
Thanks!!
Abby M. Posted 7 months ago
To be honest, I like the original.
